In the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise, Kozo Fuyutsuki is a fictitious character. He is Gendo Ikari’s right-hand man and the second-in-command of NERV HQ. When Gendo is abroad on business, Fuyutsuki, as Deputy Commander of NERV, frequently takes responsibility for issues at the base. Gendo also tends to delegate more boring tasks to Fuyutsuki, such as town council meetings, paperwork, and the like. Fuyutsuki was a metaphysical biology professor at Kyoto University. He met Yui Ikari, a young bioengineering student, and became her “sensei” while he was there.
