Scar is a lone serial killer and vigilante who hunts down State Alchemists for his brand of lethal justice, which he administers following his religion’s essential precepts and in retaliation for the slaughter of his people and family. Scar is an Ishvalan Civil War survivor who bears a massive X-shaped scar on his forehead and a prominent and complicated alchemical tattoo on his right arm that previously belonged to his older brother and that he employs as his murder weapon of choice.
