Asuka Langley Soryu is one of the main characters of Neon Genesis Evangelion, having been chosen as the Marduk Institute’s Second Child. She has been introduced to the series as “Asuka Strikes!” and has a sync-ratio with her EVA that neither Shinji nor Rei Ayanami can match. She is first introduced as a brassy, self-assured character who is despised by the bulk of the main characters, frequently appearing unsympathetic, disrespectful, and controlling to some of her peers.
